How Puzzles Are Made

Toddler puzzles are a great activity either for a whole family (parent-child activities) or for a single person.     

The majority of modern jigsaw puzzles today are made out of paperboard. Paper puzzles are easier and cheaper in mass-production. Before cutting the puzzle either photography or printed reproduction of some painting or other artwork is attached to the cardboard surface with glue. After that, a ready-made press with standard shapes go through the cardboard and cut thousands of pieces per minute.  

In contrast to paper-made puzzles, wooden puzzles are much more difficult to make and much more expensive to produce. It involves a lot of human handcraft and work. As a result of the time-consuming process of wooden puzzle production, we receive quality wooden puzzle toys that can serve for ages. 

The technology of wooden puzzles differs the same as their price. If you want to get the puzzle that is scratch resistant, made of real wood, and is very difficult to damage (even after accidental "water bath") you need to be ready to pay more for the quality. Cheaper puzzles are easy to break, they usually have low-quality stock images, lack a good educational foundation, have splinters and cheeks that may harm your kids or adult during the play. With such puzzles, you save the money but not your skin and mood.
